AES

AES operates in 27 countries, generating 44,000 megawatts of electricity through 124 power facilities and delivers electricity through 15 distribution companies. AES continues to improve and expand their global power services through great people, solid operations, and strong financial results.In 2005 AES acquired SeaWest Holdings, a major independent wind power developer headquartered in San Diego.

American Wind Energy Association (AWEA)

Since 1974, AWEA has advocated the development of wind energy as a reliable, environmentally superior energy alternative in the United States and around the world.

Bergey Wind Power Company

The establishment of Bergey Windpower Co. (BWC) has its origins in research activities at the University of Oklahoma dating back to 1970. Bergey wind turbines are sold directly and through a national and international network of authorized dealers. BWC has received two national design awards from the Society of the Plastics Industry for its fiberglass rotor blades.

Bonneville Environmental Foundation

The Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) was founded in 1998 to support watershed restoration programs and develop new sources of renewable energy. Funding for these efforts has been provided in a way that would be called unusual for most foundations. BEF, a non-profit organization, markets green power products to public utilities, businesses, government agencies and individuals.

Bonneville Power Administration

Bonneville power administration (BPA) began building transmission lines in the 1930s. BPA is a federal agency supported, not by the government, but by sales in transmission and electricity.  They currently provide about half of the electricity used in the Northwest and control more than three fourths of the area's high-voltage transmission.  To BPA energy conservation is playing an increasingly important role.  Through the use of new, energy efficient products the company has built up over 750 megawatts of energy conservation- enough to continually serve a city the size of Portland, Oregon.

California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV)

The California League of Conservation Voters is the non-partisan political action arm of California's environmental movement. CLCV's mission is to protect the environmental quality of the state by increasing public awareness of the environmental performance of all elected officials, working to elect environmentally responsible candidates, and holding them accountable to the environmental agenda once elected.

California Solar Energy Industries Association (CAL SEIA)

The California Energy Industries Association (CAL SEIA) was founded in 1977 as a nonprofit solar industry trade association organized by professionals of the solar energy industry, which includes small scale solar thermal, photovoltaic, and solar thermal electric technology companies or others doing solar-related business in the State of California.

Since 1987, enXco has grown to become a leading provider of operation and maintenance services for wind energy projects, and has emerged as an industry leader in wind project development and construction. enXco's exclusive focus on wind energy has resulted in an organization specifically tailored to apply the vast amount of experience earned over the years.

Environmental Defense

Environmental Defense is a leading national environmental organization representing more than 400,000 members. Since 1967, we have linked science, economics and law to create innovative, equitable and cost-effective solutions to society's most urgent environmental problems.

Florida Power and Light (FPL Energy, LLC)

FPL Energy is one of the leading independent power producers in the U.S. Nationwide, FPL has 72 facilities in operation, under construction or in advanced stages of development. FPL is known as the "Clean Energy Company" because more than 80 percent of the total energy FPL produces nationally is from clean-burning natural gas and renewable resources. Nearly 87% of power that FPL produces in California is renewable - wind turbines in Tehachapi and Altamont Pass, the world's largest solar energy facility in Barstow and three geothermal properties in Costa Mesa.

FuelCell Energy, Inc.

FuelCell Energy, Inc. based in Danbury, Connecticut, is a world leader in the development and manufacture of high temperature hydrogen fuel cells for clean electric power generation.

GE Wind Energy

General Electric installed their first steam turbine in 1901. Their installed base of steam and heavy-duty gas turbines has grown to over 10,000 units, representing over a million Megawatts (MW) of installed capacity in more than 120 countries. With over 5,500 wind and 3,600 hydro turbines, the installed capacity of renewable energy exceeds 160,000 MW and is rapidly growing. GE Wind is a major supplier of wind power turbines.

Horizon Wind Energy

Horizon Wind Energy, formerly Zilkha Renewable Energy, is a Houston-based developer of wind projects. Currently Horizon is operating and developing projects in more than a dozen states. In the past two years, Horizon has built or announced construction of more than 800 megawatts of wind power.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)

LADWP, the largest municipal utility in the nation, was established more than 100 years ago to deliver reliable, safe water and electricity supplies to some 3.8 million residents and businesses in Los Angeles.

MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company

In 1971, CalEnergy Company, Inc. was established as a developer of geothermal power production facilities in North America. CalEnergy continued this strategy in 1998 with the acquisition of MidAmerican Energy, a successful regional retail energy provider in the United States. The company was reorganized as MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company in March 1999.

MidAmerican Energy Company is the largest utility in Iowa and is strategically located in the middle of several major markets in the Midwest. We provide service to more than 706,000 electric customers and more than 687,000 natural gas customers in a 10,600 square-mile area from Sioux Falls, S. D. to the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois.

Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a national nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to protecting the world's natural resources and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for people. With more than 350,000 members and contributors nationwide, and a staff of lawyers, scientists, and other environmental specialists, NRDC combines the power of law, the power of science, and the power of people in defense of the environment. NRDC has offices in New York, Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. __NRDC's Energy Program promotes the increased development of environmentally sound and cost-effective energy resources. The Energy Program works on the reinvention of the electric industry by helping to rewrite the rules of electric competition; works for the adoption of energy-efficient codes for appliances and buildings; and promotes renewable energy technologies and design standards for "green" buildings. It also works on issues of sustainable land use; clean vehicles, and clean transportation infrastructure/smart transit. Its continued efforts seek the protection of clean air, and clean and affordable power and transportation.

Oak Creek Energy Systems Inc.

Oak Creek Energy Systems is a wind energy pioneer, beginning with one of the first wind farms built in California in early 1982. The company has long played an active role in the wind energy industry and has worked to advance major transmission improvements in California.  4,500 MW of new transmission capacity has already been approved for the Tehachapi area, Oak Creek having a major portion of that capacity and an extensive pipeline of large scale projects with development through 2015. Oak Creek operates approximately 180 wind turbines located in Kern County in the area between Tehachapi and Mojave in the Tehachapi Wind Resource Area.

The PCL Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1972, whose mission is to protect the California environment and ensure that California continues to be an attractive, livable and equitable state by engaging in cutting-edge environmental public policy research and educating and empowering local communities to participate in local and state environmental decision making processes.

Renewable Northwest Project

In 1994, a broad coalition of public-interest organizations and energy companies created the Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) to actively promote development of the region's untapped renewable resources. RNP has proven to be a forceful advocate for expanding solar, wind and geothermal energy in the Northwest.__The Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) is a regional advocacy organization promoting solar, wind and geothermal resources throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Our members include consumer and environmental groups as well as energy companies. Together we work on three strategic objectives to: 1) encourage the development of new renewable projects; 2) promote policies that support additional renewable resource development; and 3) help build a credible green market in the region. Our goal is for the region's electricity supply to contain 10% new, non-hydro renewables by 2010.

Sierra Club

The Sierra Club was founded in 1892 and has more than 750,000 members throughout the US and Canada, the 100-year old Sierra Club is one of the world's premier grassroots organizations. The Club supports the sustained orderly development of energy conservation and clean power resources as a cost effective way to address global climate change.

Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)

UCS was founded in 1969 by faculty members and students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who were concerned about the misuse of science and technology in society. Their statement called for the redirection of scientific research to pressing environmental and social problems.

UCS is an independent nonprofit alliance of more than 100,000 concerned citizens and scientists. We augment rigorous scientific analysis with innovative thinking and committed citizen advocacy to build a cleaner, healthier environment and a safer world.

Vestas Wind Systems

Vestas started to manufacture wind turbines in 1979 and has played an active role in this dynamic industry ever since. In 1987, Vestas began to concentrate exclusively on wind energy and since then, the company has developed from a pioneer in the industry with a staff of around 60 to a global hi-tech market-leading group with more than 9,500 employees (June 2004).
