AES Wind Generation

Deborah brings a total of 15 years experience in the energy industry to AES Wind Generation where she focuses primarily on developing new projects and acquiring existing wind projects in the Western U.S., with particular focus on the California market.  Prior to joining AES, Deborah's recent experience includes 2 years with Sempra/ SDG&E, managing project development, evaluating wind projects, analyzing M&A opportunities, and spearheading bidding strategies for renewables and non-renewables. 

Deborah joined AES Wind Generation to assist with commercial project direction, business development and prospecting, and contract negotiations involving the development of new projects and acquisitions.  Her experience has been complemented with international and U.S. power project development and acquisitions while at Calpine, Edison Mission Energy, CMS Energy and SeaWest, prior to joining AES. 

She has lived and worked in Europe and throughout Latin America on several in-country assignments and is fluent in 5 languages.  Deborah has served on several Boards, including the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,  and the New Orleans World Trade Association in addition to her current Board seats on CalWEA and CEERT. 

Deborah is a graduate of UCIrvine and UC San Diego where she completed a Master's degree in International Economics.  She is a native Californian and resides in San Diego.
